Voyage De La Vie

"Voyage de la Vie" or the "journey of life" is a story of a boy's metaphoric journey, or a rite of passage before he becomes an adult.

Enter the world of the mysterious Lantern Keeper, the charming Crystal Cat and the mesmerizing Diva alone with extraordinary inhabitants. Explore the journey of the boy on an adventurous search to discover his destiny. An unforgettable experience of magnificent sets, glamourous costumes and amazing circus feats awaits...

And so i got my complimentary ticket for the show with my colleagues for the 30th June show, 8:30pm. Be sure to be early for the pre show (magic show) that brings you into the actual show itself. As the above mentioned that it's a story about a boy before his adulthood. Lessons that he will learn like Love, Confidence, Balance, The struggle between life and death and etc. The first part of the show was abit too messy for my liking but i do like the second half when the stage turns to starry night with the moon.

I wonder, "Had i watched too much of "綜藝大哥大"?" That i feel like these stunts are actually not really amazing to me. It is like many different stunts putting together in a show. World class standard? Still far... if you want to have 3 group doing the same things, you should be prepared to be synchronize. The visual creation is not that good for something that is not synchronize and for the first part that i don't know where to focus my attention on.

But the young boy was good with his super flexible body. I guess we all felt the pain in our body. Magic done in the show was a bit too childlike. And i think only children will believe and wonder how can it be done. Rabbit wasn't hidden well enough.

Jonathan Leong. Like what i tell my friends about him. Well done for him to be on stage, staging the the first circus stage choreographed just for Singapore. But he needs to really improve on his singing or emotion in it. The impact of songs through his mouth wasn't really very reached to the audience. But i will still give him credit for staging the show rather than a foreign talent. =)

I will recommend people to go and watch it as it is the first ever circus theatre speculator. If not, can give it a miss if you are really not a fan of circus.

Just my humble experience with the show.
