Food Review - Cafe Wok Inn Traditional English Fish & Chips

I went to this coffee shop at Toa Payoh Lorong 4, Blk 95 for dinner last night. It was the quite famous Fish & Chips in Toa Payoh. It was on many reviews and it's standard is still there.

Reviews like: You Weekly, The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Heartland Getaways, Coffee Talk & Hawker Woks 2.

We reached there around 7pm+ and was told to wait for 90mins for the food to come. And we gladly decided to wait for the food while we had something else while waiting. Be there early next time and chat with your friends. Cause we didn't know we have to wait for so long.

But we didn't waited for that long, it was about 60mins when we got served.

I will say it is best Fish & Chips i tasted so far, from what i know.

The fish is fresh. The batter is good. The portion is reasonable for the price of a normal Fish & Chips. Usually, when you cut the fish, the meat will be separated from the chuck or even the skin. This one? It wouldn't. You can still be able to eat it as a whole piece with your fork.

Cause i get rather frustrated every time when you cut the fish, the meat start to fall apart and in the end, you have to scoop them up to eat.

From what we observed, all the Fish & Chips they served as the same quality. They wouldn't compromise on the quality. They rather let the customers wait then to serve them quickly.

Out of 5 stars, i will gladly give 4 stars.

Address: Blk 95, Toa Payoh Lorong 4
