Day 4 Ayutthaya Day Tour

*Yawns... we booked a cab driver name himself Mr. Sing to drive us to Ayutthaya for a day tour from 8am to 6pm at 1800B for four pax. It is around 450B (20SGD) per pax. Which i think it is rather cheap to do so in the comfort of the cab around Ayutthaya, to and fro.

So the cab driver was waiting for us at the hotel lobby while we are still grabbing our breakfast at the hotel cafe. So tired* after a whole day of shopping the day before. "/

Hopped into Mr. Sing's cab at 8+ and make our way to Ayutthaya, it is about one-hour-thirty-minutes drive from Bangkok. So practically, the first twenty-minutes of the drive, you can still hear the other 3 happily talking behind and then started to hear *snoring from them. *opps.

Lets give a brief introduction to Ayutthaya: Ayutthaya (อยุธยา), full name Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya (พระนครศรีอยุธยา), is an ancient capital and modern city in the Central Plains of Thailand, 85 km north of Bangkok. Founded around 1350, Ayutthaya became the second capital of Siam after Sukhothai.

Day 4 is just mainly about sight seeing, photo taking and trying to listen to the tour guides of other group about some interesting story about the place we visited.

Tips: Bring a lot of water or buy them along the water for not more than 20B per bottle or can drink. Plan your route well, research on the location, the temple name in thai and stuffs. So that you cab driver will know where to bring you. As usual, change lot of 10B and 20B notes. You will need them when you are doing offerings/donation.

Below will be some of the photos taken during my trip down to Ayutthaya. Due to the hot weather, we decided to leave the place at 3pm and return to Bangkok.

We reached Bangkok around 4.30pm with some funny conversation happening between us and Mr. Sing who bought lottery for the month. =) Plan was to make our way down to Chinatown but the traffic was so bad at Siam area that we detour to Suan Lum Night Bazaar for an early shopping, yet again. When we reached there, the shop just started business and it was the best chance to have the best bargain. But sometimes you may think it is best bargain but actually it is not. =)

We finish up our shopping at Suan Lum and made our way to Chinatown through Subway then a short tuktuk ride. We ended up at T&K Seafood restaurant. Had some nice food over there and will sure to visit them again when i return to Bangkok soon. =)

And of course bird nest after dinner is just perfect~!

*yum yum

I will end blogging about my Bangkok trip on Day 4. As my Day 5 evolving around shopping around Siam Square, Siam Paragon, Discovery, Loft, Platinum Fashion Mall again, Pratunum Night Market with Fuji Japanese Restaurant for lunch and A&W for dinner.

Day 6 was just having a last minute shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall, City Complex and getting some Mister Donut back for my family. That's all... its just that my flight got delayed.

There are still many places to explore in Bangkok. Like Khao Sao Road, Asoke area... till the next Bangkok trip. =)
